Firebirds sign former Alabama State WR Rico Robinson Jr.

The Georgia Firebirds would like to announce the signing of wide receiver Rico Antonio Robinson Jr. Robinson born in Japan on April 28, 1989 to Cassandra Crane and Rico Robinson Sr. He attended Henry W. Grady High School in Atlanta, Georgia where he began his football career by making the Varsity team in 9th grade as a defensive back. He was selected as a first team All-State defensive back by Atlanta Journal Constitution. While in high school his career consist of 22 interceptions and 180 tackles. He also had 88 catches for 1624 yards and 23 touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball as a receiver. After high school Robinson attended Alabama State University. This will be Rico’s first experience as a professional football player. He now resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and children.
