Former Charlotte 49er joins Mammoths for 2018

PORTLAND- James Middleton (6’4, 260) signs with the Maine Mammoths for his rookie season of arena football. Middleton spent his college career at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Where he played in 33 games totaling 57 tackles, eight for a loss and 2.5 sacks. Middleton ranks 10th all-time in 49ers history.   

Middleton is a native of Pineville, South Carolina and attended Timberland High School. During his time at Timberland he played both basketball and football. As a defensive lineman at Timberland he won a state championship in 2011 and four straight regional titles from 2008-2011. Middleton was voted MVP during the 2011 State Championship Game and played in the North-South All-Star Game. Middleton ended his high school career as a All-State Defensive Player, First Team All-Region Defensive Lineman and a First Team All-Low Country Defensive Lineman.

The Maine Mammoths are members of the National Arena League (NAL).
