Rookie Defensive Back begins Career with Cobras
Greensboro- DeAndre Scott (5’10,185) signs with the Carolina Cobras for his first year of arena football.
Scott started and finished his college career at the University of Akron. In 2013, Scott played in five games and recorded one interception for 19 yards. In 2014, Scott played in 11 games recording two interceptions for 45 yards and one forced fumble. Scott also had 10 pass breakups that year. In 2015, he played in 13 games. Scott had six interceptions for 14 yards, one forced fumble, and 11 pass breakups. In his final year at Akron, Scott played in 11 games recording one interception and seven pass breakups.
Scott is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and played high school football at IMHOTEP Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During his senior year at IMHOTEP, Scott was selected to play in the 2014 Offense-Defense All-American Bowl.
