6’5 lineman prepares for the NAL
PORTLAND- Kyle Avaloy (6’5,320) signs with the Maine Mammoths for his second year of arena football. In 2017, Avaloy spent his rookie season with the Bloomington Edge.
Avaloy spent his college career at Illinois State University. In his freshman year in 2013, Avaloy played in four games as a backup offensive lineman. In 2014, Avaloy started in all 15 games and helped the team have four consecutive 100 plus yard games. In his junior year, Avaloy started all 13 games and was a key left guard. He was named MVFC Offensive Lineman on the week where the team rushed for 254 yards and three touchdowns. In his senior year, Avaloy started all 12 games of the season and had multiple games where multiple running backs had 100 plus yard games.
Avaloy is a native of Hyde Park, New York and played high school football at Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Avaloy played football for three years in high school and did not allow one sack in those three years. To add onto his stats with no sacks allowed, he has a total of 50 pancake blocks. He helped lead his team to the IHSA Class 6A playoffs. Avaloy also played basketball and did track and field.
