Official Ring Ceremony to be held the week of home opener
JACKSONVILLE- The 2017 National Arena League Champion, Jacksonville Sharks announced that in collaboration with Baron Championship Rings, the Jacksonville Sharks 2017 National Arena League Championship rings will be distributed to the team, dancers and staff during the week of the home opener at a private dinner at Maggiano’s at the St. Johns Town Center.
The 2017 NAL Championship Ring was designed and developed by Baron Championship Ring Company based in Ontario, Canada. Baron’s has provided championship rings to USA Basketball, WNBA, NCAA, and multiple professional hockey and baseball leagues in the United States and Canada.
“We are excited to be producing our first ever arena championship ring, stated Peter Kanis, President of Baron Championship Rings. Every ring has a story and we are extremely proud to be part of the Sharks 2017 Championship story.”
The 2017 Jacksonville Sharks NAL Championship ring is 33 x 29 millimeters in size and features an authentic NAL Trophy Logo crystallized in the center of the ring with a marquise stone football at the top of the trophy. Attached to the center of the trophy is the Jacksonville Shark logo. Surrounding both the trophy and logo is a oval red honeycomb stone to represent the primary color of the Jacksonville Sharks arena football team. Protecting the honeycomb stone, trophy and Shark logo is a oval shield filled with 72 silver cubics bordered by durilium metal text that reads “Arena Champions.”
“We wanted to do something completely different than our last championship ring in 2011, stated Sharks’ Operating Manager Jeff Bouchy. This was the first ring for many of the guys on our team and it needed to be special. This ring is so big that my right arm will be longer if I wear it too long!”
On one side of the ring is a marquise red stone that rests in between the final score of the NAL Championship Game (27-21) with both participating team logos above the score and the Sharks overall 2017 record below it (13-1). On the adjacent side of the ring is the 2017 NAL Champions logo which will feature space for each players position and jersey number. To the left of the championship logo will have a engraving of the players name. The south point of the ring has 2017 on it. A very unique aspect of this ring lies at the bottom of the ring which displays the jaws of a shark.
Each player, dancer and front office staff member from the 2017 season will receive their very own custom made championship ring. The Jacksonville Sharks and Baron’s rings are also excited to announce an Authentic Fan Ring that will be available for fans to buy online at jaxsharks.com. Images and details for the authentic fan ring will announced in the next few weeks.
Bouchy continued, “We are also excited that we can offer our fans a ring very similar to the players. Sharks fans are the most loyal in the country, and they earned the opportunity to wear this piece of hardware.”
