ATLANTA, GA – In a statement made from this weeks first annual league meetings, team owners announced the official formation of the National Arena League (NAL). Set for play in 2017, the league will compete in a twelve game season starting in mid-March.

“The National Arena League meetings were a collaborative effort of strong business people to establish what we envision as the premier league in our sport,” stated Commissioner John Gregory. “The collective group of equal share NAL owners were able to come together to not only develop their vision for the 2017 season, but for years to come.”

Six teams currently will make up the National Arena League. They include: Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (Allentown, PA), Dayton Wolfpack (Dayton, OH), Columbus Lions (Columbus, GA), Georgia Firebirds (Albany, GA), High Country Grizzlies (Boone, NC), and Corpus Christi Rage (Corpus Christi, TX). “We anticipate no less than eight teams for the 2017 season,” stated Gregory. “Exciting team announcements in the coming days will solidify our slate of franchises competing for this season and allow us to be in a spotlight in our sport unlike ever seen before.”
