All-NAL Linebacker Trevon Shorts Chooses Carolina for 2022

GREENSBORO – The Carolina Cobras announce the signing of linebacker Trevon Shorts who signs for his second season in the NAL and first season with the Carolina Cobras.

Trevon Shorts (6’1, 230) played in seven games last season for the 2021 NAL Champion Albany Empire. Shorts finished second on the team for tackles with 39 he also added two tackles for a loss and one fumble recovery.

Shorts spent his college career at Division II Fairmont State in Fairmont, WV. During his career with the Falcons he totaled an impressive 79 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. Trevon Shorts is a native of Temple Hills, MD where he played outside linebacker for Archbishop Caroll gaining attention from several Division I programs including Kentucky and Maryland as well as offers from Marshall and Maine before choosing Fairmont where he was a four-year starter.
