In late 2017, Bane was announced as the first player signed for the Maine Mammoths of the NAL.  In the 2018 season with the Mammoths, he threw for 2,689 yards with 59 TDs and 18 INTs for what was considered the most dangerous team in the NAL at the end of the season.  Bane also ran for four more TDs.

We asked Bane about why he chose Carolina, he said “Throughout my six years of experience in the area game, I have been able to develop a really strong relationship with Coach Res.  I admire his competitive spirit and relentless work ethic when it comes to winning football games.  We have spoken on many occasions about us teaming up.  When he presented me with the opportunity, it was a no brainer!  With the addition of Coach James Fuller, who I have previously played multiple seasons with, in my opinion these are two of the best in the game and I have a lot of respect for both of them.  We share a lot of the same qualities when it comes to competing and wanting to be the best.  That, along with the strong coaching staff they have assembled, and strong ownership with Rob Storm.  I was attracted to the commitment to winning and being a part of the winning traditions that have been established here with the Carolina Cobras, a first class organization from top to bottom.“  When asked about his message for Cobra Nation Bane said “Cobra Nation, I hope you are as excited as we are!  I can’t wait to get to work with my teammates , and put out a product that y’all are very proud of!  I promise we won’t be out prepared or out worked!  I am looking forward to bringing another championship to Greensboro!”

General Manager/Head Coach Josh Resignalo had this to say about Bane, “Bane is a leader point blank. He is a competitor and wants to be the best and most importantly wants his team to be the best. We will have many more ballers like Bane being announced over the next few days and weeks. So stay tuned!”
