Cobras Finalize Coaching Staff

GREENSBORO, NC - The Carolina Cobras announce the last two additions to the 2022 coaching staff today by announcing the hiring of Dale Glossenger as Offensive Line Coach/Quality Control and Carmelo Valasquez as Offensive/Defensive Assistant Coach, thereby completing the coaching staff for the upcoming 2022 season.

Dale Glossenger comes to the Cobras with a long list of coaching experience. He started coaching while serving in the US Army in Germany and led his teams to two European Military Post Football titles. He brought that winning tradition back to the US as a high school football coach. Fixing a program that had gone winless and taking them to multiple playoff visits. A military man who was trained in attention to detail, and teamwork. He has also coached several minor league, All-Star and Arena football teams, including being an OL Coach with Coach Resignalo in High Country in 2017. Coach Glossenger has been involved in Indoor/Arena Football for many years. He is the current President of American Football Events USA, which is a non-profit group that uses football as a way to give back to the community and was featured on WBTW TV for his event held in Myrtle Beach to commemorate the lives lost on 9/11. Coach Glossenger said, “Being a coach and part of the Cobras organization gives me another opportunity to help mold great Athletes both ON and OFF the field, that can leave an IMPACT.” As I always say; "There is only ONE way to win and that is what?? TOGETHER."

Carmelo Valazquez is coming to us from the Midwest, where he was a high school state champion in track, and then went on to Wisconsin Lutheran College where he was a wide receiver and kick returner. In 2004 he started playing semi-pro football and continued playing through 2021. He was a First Time All-League player 15 times. He is a current member of the American Football Events Team USA All-Stars and travels the country competing against the best minor league players in the country and internationally. Doing so helps raise money and provides fellowship for the less fortunate in the areas where the games are played. He was the WR and track coach at Brown Deer High School for three seasons ending in 2021. Coach Valasquez is currently the WR Coach at Concordia University Wisconsin. When asked about making the move to Carolina Coach Valazquez said “I’m excited to continue my coaching career with Carolina. I’m extremely excited to work with such a great coaching staff. Football is such a great sport and it’s an honor to be a part of a winning franchise with great ownership and the greatest fans! I can’t wait to get to work and do my part in bringing another championship to Carolina, where it belongs. Let’s go Cobras!”

General Manager/Head Coach Josh Resignalo had this to say about both of the coaches as well as a quick look at the entire coaching staff. “I am excited to work with Coach G with the Cobras as we have been involved with football stuff together for many years. He is a military vet like me and has been around this game for a long time. He will also be a big asset to the organization off the field as well as he will be working with sales in the front office.” Coach Res went on to say about Coach Valesquez, “Coach V is a young up and coming star in the coaching ranks. He is hungry and dedicated to becoming a better coach and person. I am excited to help him with his growth as a coach and leader of men. He has a great career ahead of him and I'm looking forward to seeing him develop as the next great coach!”
