EMPIRE ANNOUNCE OPEN PLAYER TRYOUTS


ALBANY, NY - Today the Albany Empire announced that they will be holding open player tryouts for the upcoming season. Tryouts will be held on Saturday, May 1st from 12pm to 4pm at Afrim's Sports in Colonie. 

"We're excited to scout out new talent and expand our team even more. With the new coaching additions, these tryouts will really put together the remaining pieces of the puzzle so we can give the people of Albany the season they've been waiting for" said Head Coach and acting General Manager, Tom Menas.  On Wednesday the Empire announced Damon Ware as Offensive Coordinator, Dave Mogensen as Director of Player Personnel, Sergio Gilliam as Defensive Coordinator, and Phil Menas as Assistant to the Director of Player Personnel and Scouting.

Player tryouts will be open to all aspiring athletes and will be $60.00 for pre-registration, $75.00 at the door. Any interested players can go to https://www.albanyempirenal.com/tryouts to register and pay.

At tryouts, the team will be holding a merchandise sale open to the public. The sale will consist of memorabilia from the 2018-2019 season including game-worn jerseys, signed game balls, t-shirts, and more. Cash and PayPal payments will be accepted.

Season tickets are available for purchase in pods of 2 or 4. Single game tickets are not available at this time. The season kicks off at home on Saturday, May 29th vs. the Ontario Bandits.
