Jacksonville Gains IFL Lineman for 2022 Season

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Sharks announce today the signing lineman Gibril Ghee for the 2022 season, this will be Ghee’s second year of arena football and first with the Jacksonville Sharks. 

Ghee (6’3, 310) last played for the Green Bay Blizzard of the Indoor Football League where he anchored Green Bay's offensive line as a rookie. In 2021, Ghee helped the Blizzard to 55 rushing yards per game and 14 rushing touchdowns. 

Ghee spent his college career at Hampton University where he played in 29 games including 12 as a senior and 10 as a junior. During his last season with the Pirates he helped Hampton to 407 yards of offense per game and the team’s first 1,000 yard running back since 2012. He ended his college career as a First Team All-Big South Offensive Lineman. 

Ghee is a Georgia native where he played for Berkmar High School in Lilburn, GA. During his high school career he played guard for the Patriots seeing varsity action as early as his freshman year.
