Former Florida State Seminole Receiver Heads to Shark Tank for 2022

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Sharks announce today the signing of former NFL/CFL receiver and defensive back Nyqwan Murray who signs for his first season of arena football. 

Murray (5’11, 193) last played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) where he was a member of the Toronto Argonauts for the 2020 season. In 2019, Murray was an undrafted NFL rookie who signed with the Seattle Seahawks where he competed in the rookie mini camp and training camp with the Seattle Seahawks. 

During his college career he was a wide receiver at Florida State. He played for the Seminoles during the 2015-2018 seasons. Murray finished his career with the Noles playing in over 41 games totaling 127 catches for 1,854 yards, and 12 touchdowns. He ranked 17th all-time in FSU history for both receptions and receiving yards. He also is 15th all-time in Florida State history for catches per game (3.1) and had a 30 game streak where he had at least one reception. As a senior he played in all 12 games for FSU, was a third-team All-ACC receiver, and merited mass attention for his 58-yard game winning touchdown against Louisville. Shortly after college he competed in the 2019 NFL combine.

Nyqwan Murray is a native of Orlando, FL where he was a three-star nation wide recruit at the receiver position ranking in the top 100 best players in Florida and was named the #17 best receiver in Florida in 2015 ( Murray played for Oak Ridge high school where he tallied 75 receptions for 1,355 yards, and 16 touchdowns his senior year. Murray was highly recruited and received offers from South Carolina, Duke, and UCF but committed to Florida State.
