Former Temple University DL Sean Daniels signs with Jersey Flight

The Jersey Flight signed Southern New Jersey native Sean Daniels. Daniels is a Highland Regional High School graduate who went on to play collegiately at Temple University. Daniels posted eight sacks at Temple.

“I get to play in Jersey and be home and still play in front of that New Jersey crowd. I’m excited that I get to stay home, play in front of Jersey people and I get to continue my football career, that’s the most important thing.” Daniels said.

Following his college career Daniels has transitioned into Arena Football very successfully. After stints with the Harrisburg Stampede and Iowa Barnstormers Daniels went on to sign with the Philadelphia Soul.

With the Soul Daniels was named first team All-Arena in 2017, recording eight and a half sacks and forcing three fumbles. Following the season, Daniels was brought in for a workout with the Green Bay Packers.

Daniels suffered a severe leg injury during training camp in 2018 and was out for the season. Following surgery and rehab, Daniels returned to the field last year and recorded three sacks.

With the Soul Daniels won two ArenaBowl championships. He is the younger brother of Detroit Lions defensive tackle Mike Daniels.
