Injury Report: Week 13

Texas Teams Hit The Road  This Weekend

ATLANTA, GA – The National Arena League enters week 13 with two Saturday Night games as the #1 ranked San Antonio Gunslingers (8-1) head to Orlando, FL to take on #4 Orlando Predators (3-5) in “The Jungle” with the 2023 NAL Playoffs approaching the final four seeds will solidify based on the wins and losses ahead. There is some comfort in San Antonio as they have already clinched a home playoff game based on their 8-1 record. Orlando sitting at the fourth seed is believed to have a roster that can correct their record to 7-5 with potential to move up in the standings if they can pull off an incredible late season win streak with two of those games taking place in “the Jungle” or the team could very easily slip out of the playoffs with a losing streak in Carolina and a hot-streak in West Texas. The Predators and their 2022 NAL best fan base give the team the chance they need to pull off a upset but it will be no easy task. Another great matchup this Saturday is the matchup in Greensboro between the #5 West Texas Warbirds (2-8) and the #3 ranked Carolina Cobras (5-4) who host their first home game after three straight aways games two of which came down to close losses. Back in the Snake Pit, the Cobras are 3-1 and ready to get back to the winning reputation that fans witnessed earlier this season. At this point, every team will matter as teams fall out of the playoffs or fall out of home field playoff advantage if top teams get upset with the playoffs on the line. The #2 ranked Jacksonville Sharks (7-2) will enjoy a fourth of July bye week. See below for the injury report for teams playing in this week's games.

SAN ANTONIO GUNSLINGERS (8-1)

Coach Shaw and the Gunslingers are full steam ahead regardless of close games or not, San Antonio has earned their ranking and record through clutch play, great coaching and their commitment to the concept that this is their year as only one team has managed to beat them and with the playoffs approaching that have already clinched home-field advantage at either top two spots. They will face a very talented and highly developed new Orlando Predators lineup who are on a two-game win streak. It'll be a shootout in Orlando with a packed crowd in the Jungle. Will San Antonio come out 9-1 or 8-2? Only time will tell. See injury report.

DL - Justin Alexandre (Active, Shoulder)

WR/DB - Darius Banks (Active, Ribs)

ORLANDO PREDATORS (3-5)

Coach Herky Walls has the Predators on a two-game win streak and find themselves in one of the best home field advantages as their top ranked fan base is ready to help this game get to three straight wins the first time in a while for this hard-fighting Orlando Predators franchise. In the final weeks of the regular season teams will slip & rise in the standings, Coach Walls has had a busy office life this season rebuilding his roster mid-season and now even late-season now bringing in high-caliber talent in quarterback Rakeem Cato and WR/LB Tre Long. With an already stacked roster filled with All-NAL talent Orlando now has the potential to make a playoff run and has the roster to do so. Don’t take their current record seriously, many believe they will have a winning-record at the end of the regular season and may be a big upset alert team this postseason. To do so, the Predators have their hands full with alot of big games ahead to prove the media right.  See injury report below from Orlando.

DB - Delvon Randall (Probable, Shoulder)

WR - Lonnie Outlaw (Out, Shoulder)

QB - Joseph Hess (Out, Knee)

QB - Jonathan Bane (Out, Neck, Season-Ending Injury)

WEST TEXAS WARBIRDS (2-8)

West Texas has the opportunity to really upset some teams and playoff brackets in the next weeks to come and they are currently battling the Predators for that #4 spot in the playoffs, West Texas has nothing to lose, they need to fly full-speed ahead and win out for a shot at the playoffs with hopes that Orlando doesn’t find any wins in the final weeks. Coach Smith and the Warbirds have played in some competitive games this season they hope to find the Cobras on the ropes as the Warbirds came close to defeating the #1 rank team in the NAL, now tonight they take on #3 on the road. The Warbirds will be the healthier roster going into this game as the Cobras are a bit beat up from their three-game road series.

West Texas Warbirds have no injuries to report.

CAROLINA COBRAS (5-3)

No team is more excited to get home than the Carolina Cobras after a three road games the Cobras (3-1) in the Snake Pit and Cobras 5-4 overall will lean on their home field advantage in the Snake Pit. The Cobras sit at the #3 spot but have to win games like tonight to stay there. Fans and players of this team know there is no place better than to rally then in Greensboro and the depth chart favors the Cobras this time of year as the talent pool this season is deep in Carolina. See full injury report from Coach Fuller.

WR/LB - Jalen Rima (Questionable, Hamstring)

WR/DB - Miles Kelly (Questionable, Ankle)

DB - Mike Green (Questionable, Hamstring)

FB/LB - Kevin Voyles (Probable, Hip)
