Jacksonville Sharks ANNOUNCE 2021 OPEN TRYOUTS

SHARKS SET LOCAL OPEN TRYOUTS FOR MAY 15

JACKSONVILLE– The 2019 National Arena League Champions, The Jacksonville Sharks, have announced that they will be hosting an open tryout prior to the start of the Sharks 2021 training camp coming this spring. The single day event will be held Saturday, May 15th, 2021 with location information to be announced at a later date. The Sharks 2021 season is fastly approaching with the road opener set for Friday, June 4th, against the Ontario Bandits in Southern California. This will be Coach James Fuller’s first game as the head coach of the Jacksonville Sharks after helping the team to a 15-1 championship season in 2019. As the team’s Defensive Coordinator, Fuller was also named the NAL Assistant Coach of the Year. The Sharks home opener will be a 2019 championship rematch between the Sharks and Carolina Cobras on Saturday, June 12. All athletes that sign up for this year's tryout will get the chance to perform in front of Coach Fuller and his coaching staff on Saturday, May 15th. Eligible athletes must be 18 years old or older, must fully complete their online registration, team waiver, and upload a valid driver's license. Following the tryout Coach Fuller will contact players of interest to attend the Jacksonville Sharks 2021 training camp which will occur prior to the team’s season opener on June 4th.  

Interested athletes can visit www.jaxsharks.com/tryouts where they can fill out the online registration and submit their online payment. All athletes must submit their waiver online & complete their online payment before stepping on the field to participate in the tryout on May 15th. The Sharks are allowing a pay-by-phone option by calling 904-621-0700 ext. 702 as an alternative to the Sharks paypal payment option featured on the registration form. Tryouts will begin at 8:30am for athlete check-in, each player will receive a Sharks logo t-shirt and mask. Each athlete will have time to warm up & stretch on the field once they complete the check-in process. Starting at 9am the potential Jacksonville Sharks will begin the workout with a range of drills to measure athletic ability, including the 40-yard dash and shuttle run. In addition, there will be position specific drills for players to showcase their skills to the Sharks coaching staff.
