JERSEY FLIGHT FALL TO ORLANDO PREDATORS ON THE ROAD, ENTER FINAL STRETCH OF SEASON

ORLANDO, FL – Coming out of the bye week, the Jersey Flight dropped their matchup against the Orlando predators by a 32-12 score over the weekend. Jersey had defeated Orlando 58-40 in their previous meeting this season at home in Trenton.

The defense stood out, holding Orlando to just nine points through three quarters before the Predators took control of the game in the fourth quarter.

DB LaRoche Jackson had one INT, and DB Dwayne Hollis had a pair of picks during the game. In addition, the Flight defensive front forced pressure all evening long.

WRs Larry Beavers and Jared Dangerfield each recorded a touchdown reception in the game. The Flight left points on the board, as kicker Nick Jakelsky was 0/2 on extra points, and failed to convert on three long field goal attempts over the course of the game.

Additionally, a number of Flight drives stalled out before reaching the end zone, which was a major part in the losing effort

When asked for comments after the game, GM/HC Terry Foster said that the Flight “need to get the ball across the goal line.”

The next game for the Flight will be on July 17, when they travel up to Albany for the second round of the Capital City Clash against the Albany Empire. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
