ALBANY, NY - The Albany Empire has agreed to terms with standout offensive lineman Mo Ruffins to return for the remainder of the 2021 season! Mo Ruffins commanded the Empire offensive line in 2018 and 2019, and was a key piece in the Empire’s 2019 AFL championship.

After playing his college ball at Louisiana Tech with an all-conference selection, he began his career in arena football where he transitioned to the offensive line. After working his way up through the AF2, he landed in the AFL with the New Orleans Voodoo. Ruffins has also spent time with the Pittsburgh Power, San Antonio Talons, Jacksonville Sharks and Washington Valor before signing with Albany in 2018.

Head Coach Tom Menas commented on the signing, saying “We’ve been blessed to have one of the best offensive lines in the NAL but adding Mo Ruffins takes us from a Very Good O Line to a Great O Line! We’re very lucky and excited to add One of the best big men in all of Arena Football.”
