LONNIE OUTLAW AWARDED THE ALLSTATE CATCH OF THE WEEK

Lonnie Outlaw has earned the Allstate Catch of the Week for an incredible catch late in the third quarter against the Albany Empire. On a “free play” due to a defensive penalty, Mason Espinosa heaved it deep for Outlaw who, despite having two defenders on him, used his 6’7” frame to come down with the catch and put the Lions in scoring position.

Outlaw’s catch was one of the highlights of the night and something fans have come to expect from the veteran receiver.

Outlaw finished the game with 10 catches for 147 yards and one touchdown. It was his third game of the year with over 100 yards and he set a new season-high for receptions and yards.. He was one of two Lions receivers to go over 100 yards, the other being NAL offensive Player of the Week Antwane Grant.

Outlaw currently leads the Lions in receptions (48), yards (558) and he is second in touchdowns (10), only one behind Romond Deloatch. He is one of two Lions receivers to be top ten in the NAL in receptions and one of three to be top ten in touchdowns.
