NAL Announces Events for 2022 Championship Week


NAL Annual Awards to be Announced Friday Night

ATLANTA, GA - The National Arena League and its Championship Week host team the Albany Empire are excited to announce a coveted week for the 2022 NAL season. The defending National Arena League champion Albany Empire (8-4) will host the Carolina Cobras (9-5) for the 2022 National Arena League Championship on Saturday, August 13 at 7pm in the MVP Arena in Albany, NY. Prior to the game, the league has a lineup of events and announcements all leading up to the biggest game in the NAL. This will be Empire’s second NAL championship game in team history after joining the league in 2021. The visiting Carolina Cobras will enter their third championship game in team history since joining the league in 2018. These two teams played each other three times during the regular season and the Cobras have won all three of those matchups.

This week’s All-NAL team articles will be published on the National Arena Leagues’s website and will be promoted on league & team social media. The Albany Capital Center will be the official host of Friday’s events & festivities. The 2022 Owners meeting will be private, the NAL Championship Media Day will be open to the press and invited personnel. The 2022 NAL Award Banquet will host members from all seven NAL Franchises, members of both 2022 Championship competing teams, and invited guests only. This event will conclude at 9pm and will unveil league franchise awards as well as the NAL most prestigious awards including the 2022 NAL’s Most Valuable Player and Ironman Player of the Year. Fans can watch both the NAL Media Day and NAL Award Banquet as it will be streamed live on the National Arena League’s Facebook page or you can watch the full video of both events at a later time by going to the NAL’s YouTube Channel.


This year’s 2022 NAL Championship game will feature a Miller Lite Block Party that will kick off for all fans at 5pm. Fans attending the Miller Lite Block Party will enjoy music, vendors, and food trucks directly outside the main entrance of the MVP arena.
