NAL Injury Report: Week 11

Arena Football to Lead Up to July 4

ATLANTA – The National Arena League enters week 11 with a Florida showdown between the Jacksonville Sharks (5-5) and Orlando Predators (3-6)  at the Amway Center on Friday night. Fans can also enjoy Columbus Lions (4-4) vs. Carolina Cobras (7-3) at the Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday night. Meanwhile Albany Empire (5-4) heads to Texas to take on the San Antonio Gunslingers (3-5) tomorrow night as well. With four weeks left in the season, wins and losses this weekend could very well have a heavy effect on where teams end up going into the postseason.

Check out our full injury report for week 11.

Jacksonville Sharks (5-5)

After a great home victory against Orlando, the Sharks take to the road to face the same opponent. A win tonight means the Jacksonville Sharks will have swept their in-state rival as they are 2-0 against the Predators but will have to beat them this week in front of their home crowd.

WR/DB - Miles Kelly, Shoulder (Probable)

DB - Markus Smith, Ribs (Active)

WR/LB - Kavon Gardner, Shoulder (Questionable)

FB/LB - Anthony Johnson, Illness (Active)

Orlando Predators (3-6)

After a short-week loss to the Sharks, the Predators served up a rematch on their home turf tonight. Orlando’s 3-5 record can easily be remedied by a win this week. See injury report for the Predators below.

Columbus Lions (4-4)

Falling to the Empire last week, the Lions have another tough week now facing the #1 ranked Carolina Cobras in Greensboro. The Snake Pit is a tough place to play but the Lions have proven to win there before and can elevate to 5-4 with a win this week.

The Lions have no injuries to report.

Carolina Cobras (7-2)
The Cobras have remained at the top of the NAL standings and will continue to do so if they can win again this week. This week they return home to face the 4-4 Columbus Lions and will play without a couple key players. See full list of injuries below.

Albany Empire (5-4)
The Empire have had their highs and lows this year but last week was a great victory for the team. The Empire (5-4) will face a very confident San Antonio Gunslingers who are on a winning streak. To stay in the top two, the Empire will have to end the Gunslingers win streak this weekend. See list of injuries below for the Empire.

WR - Antwane Grant (Placed on Injured Reserve)
K - Marc Orozco (Doubtful)

San Antonio Gunslingers (3-5)
