National Arena League Expansion Continues in Kansas

Topeka Tropics Join The NAL

ATLANTA, GA – The National Arena League officially reveals Topeka, Kansas, as the next franchise to join the National Arena League for its pivotal 2024 season filled with accelerated growth, exciting new teams, and fresh talent as the NAL continues to grow across the nation. Topeka becomes the fourth recent city to join the National Arena League and the first Kansas based team to join the NAL in league history.

In 2024, the Tropics will host their home games at the Stormont Vail Events Center. The Topeka Tropics made this announcement on social media.

“Topeka Tropics fans! We are happy to announce that the Tropics will be competing in the National Arena League (NAL) for the 2024 season! We will be joining storied and long standing teams from the Champions Indoor Football League (CIF), such as the Sioux City Bandits and the reigning 2023 CIF Champion Omaha Beef. The decision to leave the CIF  was not taken lightly, and as always, we put our team and our community at the forefront of our decision. Our goals of giving back to the community in a meaningful way, delivering an experience our fans deserve, and creating an organization that will be in Topeka for years to come have not changed. With the support of our fans, corporate partners, and members of the Topeka Tropics organization, we look forward to this opportunity. Be sure to follow us on Facebook for more exciting news in the coming days and weeks! Let's get tropical!”

The Topics join the Sioux City Bandits, Omaha Beef, Carolina Cobras, and Colorado Spartans as current NAL members for what may be the most pivotal season in the league’s history, both in scale and the nation-wide footprint it will provide for the sport of arena football.

“The National Arena League and its current member teams, as well as their passionate fans, are all ecstatic to announce the newest member team of the league for the 2024 season.” Stated National Arena League Executive Director Rob Storm. “The phrase Let’s Get Tropical, as coined by the community and fans of this football team, couldn’t be any truer with today’s announcement. We are looking forward to seeing the Tropics on the football field and in the community for not only next season, but many, many more.”
