Sharks Sign Former NFL Free Agent

JACKSONVILLE FL- The Sharks add former NFL undrafted free agent Jermiah Braswell to the wide receivers heading to training camp. It’s clear Coach Gibson is focused on building a solid receiving corps heading into the 2023 season.

Braswell (6’0, 210) spent his college years in Ohio at Youngstown State University. After being redshirted his freshman year, he made his debut as a Penguin in 2016. Braswell played in 12 games as a redshirt freshman pulling in a critical fourth quarter seven-yard touchdown pass in the national championship game against James Madison University. Braswell doubled his touchdown production every year and finished his career with 51 receptions,  986 yards and 11 TD’s.   He started in four of eight contests his junior year and finished the season with 20 catches for 325 yards and two touchdowns. Braswell started in the 10 games he was able to play his senior year (he sat out the final two games due to an injury). He hauled in 24 catches for a team best 515 yards. Braswell ended his time at Youngstown State with seven touchdown receptions, a single season record that a Penguin wide receiver hadn’t broken since 2006.
