Sharks sign QB Breckenridge Ruddick for the 2021 season

JACKSONVILLE – The 2019 National Arena League Champion Jacksonville Sharks have announced today the signing of Quarterback Breckenridge (Breck) Ruddick for the 2021 season.


Ruddick (6’4, 205) played at Delta State from 2017-2019. In his junior year he played in 15 games ending the season with a 9-4 record. He completed 156 of 278 passes for 1,422 yards with ten touchdowns and ten interceptions. He rushed 167 times for 778 yards and seven touchdowns. During his senior season he played in nine games and was the starting quarterback in seven of them. The offense ranked third in the GSC with 197.9 yards per game rushing, 159.5 yards passing and 22.8 total points per game. Third on the team with 93 rushes for 485 yards and three touchdowns completing 158 of 237 passes for 1,155 yards with seven interceptions and five touchdowns.


Prior to Delta State, Ruddick played for Missouri State from 2014-2016 where he redshirted his first season but was named MSU offensive player of the week against Illinois State. In his best game he threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns. In 2016 he was redshirted due to injury before transferring to Delta State.

 

In high school Ruddick was named one of the top 40 division one prospects in West Tennessee after his senior year at Christian Brothers College High in Memphis. He threw for 934 yards, six touchdowns and 1,300 yards of total offense.
