Albany Empire Announce Staff Additions
ALBANY-- A former Arena Football League official is joining the Albany Empire front office in a series of moves announced by the team Wednesday. Kris Thompson, who served as an AFL compliance officer and was a member of the 2019 championship team, has been named as the Director of Game Day Operations.
The Empire also announced the hiring of:
Jeff Levack, of ESPN Radio, who will serve as an on-field personality.
Scott Noel is the public address announcer. Noel’s experience includes working with the Albany River Rats, Albany Firebirds, Conquest Arena Football, as well as serving as the PA for NCAA Basketball Championships.
Chadd Ryan will be the team DJ. Ryan previously provided entertainment for the MAAC Basketball Tournament, NCAA Hockey East Region and the Siena Men’s and Women’s basketball teams.
Paul Brace will become the Empire’s Equipment Manager. Brace held similar positions with the Tampa Bay Storm, Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
Lindsey Weitz will serve as a media and public relations specialist. Weitz worked previously in the communications department with the 2019 Empire.
